Menstrual Hygiene Drive
‘Making menstrual hygiene a stigma is violating several human rights, most importantly the right to women dignity’ – Anonymous
We live in a world where we have a notation that everything related to menstruation is a hush-hush topic and not to be talked out in open.In India, mostly women suffer from various infections due to lack of proper education on maintaining hygiene.
The need of the hour is not only to spread awareness on menstrual hygiene but also to act upon it. We organised a drive in January, 2019 in an underprivileged area of Ambala and gathered around hundred women to educate them on the topic. Our speakers gave a very informative session on how to maintain menstrual hygiene, the problems which women face and how to prevent them. They also addressed to the issues faced by the woman by answering to their queries.
Not only this, we distributed them with sanitary napkins with the aid of ZYVS Group who thrive to make Ambala a disease-free city. Not only this, we distributed them with sanitary napkins with the aid of ZYVS Group who thrive to make Ambala a disease-free city.
